Mr. Struble graduated from Defiance High School in 1969. He completed his undergraduate work at Miami University, earning his BS in 1973. In 1979 he earned his Masters of
Education from Ohio University.
His 9 year teaching career in high school English included Mason City Schools, Westland High School, Delphos Jefferson High School, and Northwestern High School in Springfield, Ohio, where he also served as athlete director.
His administrative career began as assistant high school principal and athletic director at Warren Local Schools in Washington County. He was employed as the high school principal for Edon Northwest Local Schools in 1983, and in 1996 he was named superintendent of Edon Northwest Local School District.
Mr. Struble was named superintendent of Defiance City Schools in July 2006.
