John Mayes - Mr. Mayes began his career with the district in 1980 with the maintenance department. He was named supervisor of maintenance in 1996.

Maintenance

The maintenance department provides services for all Defiance City Schools' buildings and grounds, which include lawn care, repairs, maintenance, custodial services and additional upkeep as needed.

Director of Operations

The Director of Operations directs the delivery of district-wide maintenance services. The position provides technical expertise and manual skill in the inspection, servicing, and repair of the buildings, grounds, equipment and furnishing. In addition, the transportation and food service supervisors report directly to the director of operations.
