iPads are being delivered to the district during the month of June. All iPads will be tagged and inventoried, as well as imaged with the apps listed below. Both teacher and student iPads will have protective cases.
Initial teacher deployment was held the week of June 20th. Further intrainings by the Apple staff are scheduled tentatively on the following dates:
August 22 and 23
September 12 and 13
October 24 and 25
Parent Meetings are scheduled on August 16 and August 23. This is a very important meeting to introduce parents to the iPad Project, to answer questions, and to sign necessary forms. Students are invited to attend, but it is required that they be accompanied by a parent. No student will receive an iPad without these signed documents. More information will be forthcoming about those meetings.
Grade level meetings will be held on the first day of school. Expectations and Responsibilities will be discussed with students at that time. Students will receive iPads during English classes throughout the first weeks of school.
