This year, Defiance High school will continue with the Bulldog Gold Card as an incentive for students to perform at or above their potential. As mentioned in the link above, students need to score a 684 to be competent in Mathematics and English, and 700 or better to be Proficient in all subject areas. The following incentives will be part of the Bulldog Gold Card for 2025-2026:
● Proficient in any tested area = Exempted from 2nd semester exam in the tested area, as long as the student has a C average or higher in that class.
● Accelerated in any tested area = Exempted from 2nd semester exam in the tested area, as long as student has a C average or higher in that class, AND exempt from another 2nd semester exam as long as student has a C average or higher in the class, AND one day of an excused absence in the Fall semester of 2026 that will not count against the Perfect Attendance Exam Exemption.
● Advanced in any tested area = Exempted from all 2nd semester exams, as long as student has a C average or higher in the class, AND two days of an excused absence in the Fall semester of 2026 that will not count against the Perfect Attendance Exam Exemption.
