Defiance High School

Starting today, we will be having a school wide attendance competition. This is a friendly challenge between homerooms and it runs for all of April. If your 1st period class has great attendance, the whole class could win a homework pass at the end of the month and a big trophy for the room. This is based on points, counting tardies, absences, unexcused tardies and absences, etc. When April is over, the points will be tabulated and the top three homerooms based on attendance in the entire school will have each student receive a prize. This is a new idea to try and reward showing up and showing up on time for everyone. Remember, if you have to be absent or tardy, make sure it is excused so it doesn’t count against the attendance as much. Any questions, please see Mr. Fisher.
