Please see the attached letter or text below from Mr. Jerger regarding the Senior Academic Awards Ceremony on Thursday, May 28th.
As we recognize the Class of 2026, we will continue to spotlight their accomplishments, academic achievements, scholarships, and special awards. Therefore, you are cordially invited to attend the ceremony on Thursday, May 28, 2026, in the high school gymnasium, starting at 8:30 a.m.
This year’s ceremony will be open to immediate family, students of Defiance High School, and other special guests. Guests and attendees will be welcomed with coffee and donuts in the high school cafeteria at 8:00 a.m., followed by the ceremony beginning at 8:30 a.m.
For those students that wish not to attend, Defiance High School will be operating on a 2 Hour Delay, with classes beginning at 9:55 a.m.
The Class of 2026 will continue with our tradition with a “farewell walk through”. This final goodbye will begin at 10:00 a.m. and lead through the middle school and Defiance High School. From Defiance HS, the graduates will follow a police escort and parade to the elementary school for their final farewell. Parents and immediate family are invited to align down the road leading to the elementary school.
Upon the completion of their walk through, The Class of 2026 will be dismissed.
