Every year the Veterans of Foreign Wars sponsors the "Voice of Democracy Scholarship" program.
27,000 high school students compete for over 2 million dollars in scholarship and prizes.
To enter, write and record a 3-5 minute speech on a given prompt. Based on the attached instructions, submit the recording, a typed copy of your speech and the application to Mr. Manz by Wednesday, October 28, 2026.
Paper copy of application available from Mr. Man Scholarships are then awarded at the local, district, state and national level.
This year's prompt is "What a Veteran Taught Me About America".
