Dave and Martha Bidlack have been a huge part of Defiance High School athletics for 25 years. Dave and Martha were active in the football parent group during the years their sons played and have also been active wiht cross country, track, DECA, band and the soccer program with a grandson participating. They were also judges for the discus for nine years.

But perhaps the largest input that Dave and Martha have put into DHS athletics came in wrestling as the hert and soul behind the program since the 1990s. Dave is the voice of the wrestling Bulldogs at all home matches, including the Mad Dog tournaments. He also mad eand donated Plyo boxes to the wrestling team. Martha is the wrestling stats person, paints updates on the Wrestling Wall of Fame and is the timer for home mathces. Martha also complies a stat book for each Defiance Wrestler every year and paints all of the wrestling yard signs that are cut out by Dave.

Dave is a Navy veteran of the Vietnam era and a 1996 DHS graduate where he wrestled for one year and played football for four. Martha is a 1975 Lima Senior Graduate.

 

 

Dave and Martha have been married for 40 years and have three children, Angela, Bob and Nate, all of who particiapted in cross countryt, track, DECA, band, wrestling and football at DHS. They have five grandchildren, Beau and Caleb Branham and Mason, Ella and Barrett Bidlack.
