After earning all-state honors in basketball in softball, Miller went on to play basketball on the collegiate level, first at holy Names College and then at Defiance College. At DHS, she was first team WBL senior, second team district 8 and honorable mention all-Ohio. A team captain as a senior, miller played more games (92) in her career then anyone in school history. She scored 774 career points, is the all-time school assist leader with 373 and is second in career steals with 262. A four-year letterwinner, Miller was MVP of the Clinic Classic in 2000, played on the 200 regional team while earning special mention in the WBL that season. She was also honorable mention all-state in softball as a senior after earning first team honor in the WBL district. A team captain, Miller batted .384 with 23 RBLs and finished her career with the most career assist for a shortstop/ second baseman in school history with 171, including 78 juniors and 59 as a senior. As a Junior Miller was second team WBL and honorable mention all-district while as a sophomore the three-year letterwinner was a special mention in the WBL. She was a member of the NALA national qualifying team at Holy Names College in 2001-2 before going to DC from 2003-06. At Defiance College, she was a three-year starter and a captain as a senior. An Honorable mention HCAC selection as a senior, Miller holds the single-season 3-point percentage mark. Miller went on to coach junior high girls basketball at Napoleon in 2006-07, was freshman coach a year later and junior varsity coach a year after that. From 2009-12 she was the varsity assistant coach at Napoleon before becoming the varsity girls basketball coach from 2012-15. She is a second grade teacher at Napoleon Middle School and is married to Ryan Miller. They Have three children, Hannah(7), Kendall(5), and Brooklyn(3).
