Hill was the first Defiance High School female to ever place at the state track meet, finishing as the Division I runner-up in the high jump in 1987. That same year Hill set the school record with a jump of 5-6. A 1987 DHS co-valedictorian, Hill went on to compete in women's track and field at Miami Univeristy, earning a scholarship her sophomore year after walking on as a freshman. Hill was a four-year letterwinner at Miami competing in the high jump and heptathlon. In 1991, she won the Mid-American Conference title in the heptathlon with a score of 4,964, a point total which remains in the top five in school history. That same year Hill captured the MAC title in the high jump, finishing the season ranked 34th in the nation among Division I schools. She still holds the third highest jump in school history at 5-10. An academic All-American, Hill graduated from Miami in 1991 with a degree in zoology. She went on to attend Medical College of Ohio and in 1995 became Dr. Kimberly Hill. She resides in Rolla, Missouri where she is a board certified family physician. Hill and her husband Chris Johnson have two children, Aidan 13 and Larkin 2.
