Mouser was a standout member of the Defiance High School cross country and track teams, helping those squads to six Western Buckeye League titles, two district championships and two Division I state meet appearances. The 2002 DHS graduate earned all-WBL, all-district, and all-region honors in cross country, qualifying for state in Division I for four straight years. Mouser was the WBL, district and regional champion in 2001 and finished fourth at the state meet in 2000 and 2001. In track, he earned numerous WBL, district and regional honors while qualifying for state in Divison I three years in a row. Mouser was the WBL 3200 and 1600 champion twice and part of three WBL 3200 relay champions. He was also the 2002 3200 district champion. He earned all-state honors by placing fifth in the 3200 in 2001 and seventh in the 3200 in 2002. Mouser, who earned academic all-state honors six times, holds DHS records for the indoor 1600, indoor 3200 and 5000 in cross country. He also represented Ohio in 2001 in the Midwest Meet of Champions cross country event. Mouser received an athletic scholarship to Auburn University when he earned six letters in cross country and track. He graduated in 2007 with a B.F.A. in graphic design. Mouser and his wife Jaclyn live in Chicago where he is a Design Lead at FJORD - a design and innovation consultancy that works with leading businesses and organixations globally.
