Welcome to Defiance City School District’s website.  Defiance Schools serve 2,723 students in a community of approximately 17,000 residents.  We have a long tradition of educational excellence, strong fiscal management and keeping in touch with our community.

    Everyone associated with the Defiance City Schools is very proud of the academic success of our students.  This can be attributed to the hard work of our teachers, classified support staff and administrators who strive to provide the best service possible.  We provide a comprehensive program that meets the needs of our children regardless of what those needs are.  The support of our parents is exemplary.

   We have completed part of our Master School Facilities Plan with the opening of our state of art PreK-5 elementary school.  In the near future, we hope to complete the Master Plan by addressing the junior high and high school buildings.  I’ll be sure to keep you informed of our progress.
